This page summarises the values and safeguards in Phoenix’s Code of Conduct and the policies that sit alongside it. Phoenix maintains full internal policies covering these areas for our staff, volunteers, partners, suppliers and contractors.
1. Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct sets the ethical, behavioural and professional standards for everyone who works for or represents Phoenix: employees, volunteers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and partners. It commits us to humanity, neutrality, impartiality and fairness, independence, accountability, transparency, and respect, diversity and inclusion in everything we do.
2. Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH)
Phoenix has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment in any form. We put the safety, dignity and wishes of victims and survivors first, we do not tolerate attempts to conceal such conduct, and anyone in our work is protected by this commitment, whether they are a beneficiary, a colleague or a member of the public.
3. Integrity, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption
Phoenix has zero tolerance for fraud, bribery, corruption, embezzlement and the misuse of authority or resources. This includes offering, requesting or accepting bribes or improper gifts, and failing to disclose a conflict of interest. We expect the same standard from our partners, suppliers and contractors.
4. Child Safeguarding
Wherever our work brings us into contact with children, their safety, wellbeing and best interests come first. Phoenix has zero tolerance for any form of child abuse, exploitation or neglect, and takes care, including in how we photograph and document children, to protect their privacy, dignity and rights.
5. Reporting a concern
Anyone can report a concern about any of the above, in confidence, and we do not tolerate retaliation against a person who reports in good faith — see our Reporting Channels & Confidentiality page.
